The Provincial Workplace Health Contact Centre services British Columbia Health Authority employees (defined as those with health authority employee numbers) by providing assistance in reporting new employee’s Health Histories, Blood and Body Fluid Exposure Follow Up, Communicable Disease Exposure and Outbreak Management, Incident Reporting, and providing information regarding WorkSafe BC claim requirements. 

The Occupational Health Nursing Team assists in:

The Communicable Disease Exposure Management Nurses also work closely with Medical Health officers, Public Health, Infection Control, local Occupational Health Nurses and Managers within each health authority in the management of communicable disease exposures & outbreaks.

The Incident Reporting Team is trained to transcribe employee's report details of:

These reports are assessed to determine if a claim is required with WorkSafe BC.

Requests for other Occupational Health and Safety Services are managed by the local Workplace Health Teams.
